Service Projects
The MOMS Club® of Kensington Park, MD has a strong commitment to service in the community. Each year the club performs at least one service project designed to benefit children in our area. Service projects are a wonderful way for Moms in the club to get to know each other while working together on a common goal. They provide a terrific opportunity for members to get involved in the community and for our children to learn about service.
Our Most Recent Projects Include:
NIH Children's Inn: making and serving Sunday dinner for 80-100 people (March 2008, March 2009)
Halloween Parade at the Kensington Park Retirement Home (October 2009)
New pajama and book collection for the "Pajama Program" (non-profit) along with a pajama party for club members and children to help raise donations (January 2010)
Spring Egg Hunt at Kensington Park Retirement Home (April 2010)
Saturday breakfast preparation and donations for Community- Based Shelter in Rockville (April 2010)
